Belgian Military Flintlock Pistol c. 1790 - 1820
This is a very good Belgian Military Flintlock Horse Pistol that is 16” in overall length with a standard 9” long, .65-.67 caliber, round steel barrel. The barrel is marked with a Belgian proof mark on the left side of the breeech, there is no “E L G” within an oval visable but may be on the underside of the barrel, have not removed the barrel from the stock and have no intention to do so. Pistol has brass regulation furniture and butt cap with built-in lanyard ring. The lock is marked with a stamp, a “CROWN” over “D”and another "Crown" over an unidentifiable letter, possibly a "W". The stock is solid with normal age scratches and dings from years of actual service and is in good working order. Missing screw on the rear of the trigger guard. Two stage action works as it should.
