Dutch Flintlock Holster Pistol Signed B. A. Zuerc - Utrecht
.60 caliber with 10 1/2 inch, brass, 2-stage barrel with unique brass panels and rib. Signed on the rib with the maker's name. Outlined brass lockplate and matching brass-faced cock with the lockplate signed with the maker's name as well. Multiple human and animal forms in brass throughout. Original brass tipped ramrod, carved walnut stock with brass repousse, chased and chiseled mounts. The single stage action is gentle and the trigger is very light and smooth. This pistol was painstakingly crafted showing great pride in their work during the mid 1700s. Overall length is 17 1/2 inches. Circa 1770, possibly earlier.
