In August 1940, Frank Carey led No 43 Squadron's 'A' Flight into 'Schwarms of JU87s', escorted by Me109s. Though hopelessly outnumbered, Carey accounted for 4 JU87s before running out of ammunition. Robert Taylor's painting captures the trauma of the battle.
