British Flintlock Pistol by George Jones
Similar to a T. Ketland & Co. pistol with same patterns engraved on London marked barrel, may have been using the same barrel supplier. Flat outlined lock plate with flower engraving and Geo. Jones with smaller font "E" over the o in Geo. Five leaf pattern on rear of lock plate. Outlined swan neck cock with leaf pattern. Walnut stock with brass engraved furniture, trigger guard with finial, butt cap, oval disc on back of grip, ramrod ferrules and side plate. Crack in cane grip but professionally repaired a long time ago. Brass tipped ramrod with screw tip on the opposite end, most likely original. Approximately .66 caliber 9 inch barrel. Engraved leaf and stalk pattern on rear clamp. Birmingham proofs on the left side of the barrel at the breach. Small square stock repair in front of the flair for the left side plate. Overall length is 14 1/2 inches.
